Hi, Herb, welcome to the group.  As coordinator for the West Virginia University Injury Control Research Center you may be interested in the Forcefield protective headband that I distribute.  It was initially patented and developed for the sport of soccer, but has become very popular in all sports that are played without head protection as well as sledding, toddlers and any activity that is performed whereby your head can be impacted without otherwise head protection.  They can be worn under a helmet or baseball cap for added protection.   They can absorb the force of an impact by up to 80%, are breathable to absorb perspiration, are comfortable to wear and are machine washable.  Please visit our very informative website and I would be happy to send you a complimentary protective headband for your evaluation.   Play hard, but play safe!!  And, enjoy the group!  Regards, Luann
