Profile Information

About Me:
I am an independent public relations consultant and the mother of four children. I'm proud that three of my children are now compassionate, intelligent, responsible adults. But there will always be an aching emptiness in my heart for my four-year-old daughter Alicea, who drowned in a neighbor's unsecured swimming pool in May 1988 while a guest at their home. Since then, I have been working to prevent other children from drowning by lobbying government agencies to upgrade their swimming pool barrier codes and educating parents and pool owners about the drowning hazard. I currently chair the codes committee for the National Drowning Prevention Alliance, www.ndpa.org. I do this pro bono social responsibility campaign in loving memory of Alicea.

I'm the President of CarpoolBaby.com which I established in 2007. Parents probably wouldn't put a SafeKidsUSA sticker on their car but I have proven that they will gladly purchase a CarpoolBaby Magnet to put on their bumber. I'm pursuing other interests and don't have time to promote CarpoolBaby.com. I'm reaching out to your company first to see if you would be interested in purchasing CarpoolBaby.com which will help grow the SafeKidsUSA brand. Please contact me with your interest. Thank You, Todd Alexander
