Community Guidelines

Welcome to the Safe Kids Online Community

We invite you to join us to learn about safety and injury prevention, share your experiences and help other parents learn about how to keep their kids safer. You can even start your first blog entry here with us if you'd like.

Our Focus

The focus of this community is safety and unintentional childhood injury prevention. We ask that you please keep on topic in your discussions, blog posts and groups. Our goal is to create a community where information about unintentional injury prevention and child safety can be freely shared between parents and caregivers.

Community Rules

We envision this community as an open forum, but to keep the conversation going in a positive and helpful way, we do have a few rules:

  • Don't pitch products. You can talk about products from the parent and caregiver perspective, but you can't pitch your own products or products of a company you are working for or associated with.
  • Be nice! Many members come here for information, not to be called names.
  • Please respect the different backgrounds and education of members.
  • No one needs to hear you correct them on proper grammar and spelling. Let’s talk safety and injury prevention, not the difference between affect and effect.
  • Want to talk about religion and race? Well, we don’t. We talk safety and injury prevention and how to keep your kids safer.
  • Don’t gang up with other members against one person. It’s not nice! It's better to stick to safety talk.
  • Safe Kids USA has the right to remove any profile, discussion, blog post, comment, photo, or video. Items that violate our code of conduct or are deemed inappropriate will be deleted. Repeat offenders will be permanently banned.
  • Promoting personal fundraising campaigns in support of child safety and injury prevention is permitted, as long as they are promoted in relevant discussions.
